Is it Friday AGAIN?

I came across this today on Facebook. It might have been funny if it weren't completely true. In a way, it made me feel better. I mean, if someone took the time to create a pie graph of parental feelings....I must not be completely and utterly nuts for feeling that way, right? Well whatever...I can rationalize all I want!
But here it is Friday night again. Boy, I can remember when my son was in grade school and Friday took FOREVER to get here. between school, baseball, soccer, etc....I didn't get to sleep in much. I usually got one day every weekend though, that I could lounge until the late hour of...say...10am. And I seem to remember it took FOREVER to get through a week and on to the weekend.
Well that all changes when your son/daughter goes away to college, let me tell you. Friday night becomes a whole new thing, and there are way too many Friday nights in a school year.
And then you find out (or rather...you RECALL YOUR OWN YOUTH) that EVERY night is Friday night in college. You are probably thinking right now "well, yeah...hello? Remember Thirsty Thursday?"
Well of course I do. But that is no longer enough for today's youth. A society of over stim and excess has led to a completely out of control generation. They don't party on the weekends like we did...they party EVERY NIGHT.
There's Thirsty Thursday, F*&ked up Friday, Sh*tfaced Saturday, Sloshed Sunday, Messed Up Monday, Tipsy Tuesday and Wasted Wednesday.
Oh you didn't know? Well now you do! And now you, too can refer to the pie chart above and try your best not to pick up the phone and call your child. When they don't answer, or worse, it goes right to the voicemail they never check...feel free to call and vent to me. I have a feeling I won't be sleeping much til 2016!
